Course Description

The economical prosperity of the society allowing competing effectively and efficiently in the constantly changing national and global markets.  Fisheries industry has to exploit opportunities offered by new technologies to remain competitive.  Moreover, Employers need creative and innovative workforce equipped with knowledge, skills and understanding to face these challenges effectively and efficiently. 

On this account, the programme of Environment and Coastal Resource management has been designed to produce graduates who will satisfy the needs of the changing fisheries communities towards sustainable utilization and management of coastal resource and its environment which is in turn tremendously loss of natural resource cause by various human activities which affect ecosystem.

Prerequisites

Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four (4) passes in non-religious subjects, At least ‘D’ pass in Geography or Biology is compulsory;  AND  Possession of Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in Master fisherman; Aquaculture Technology; Fish Processing, Quality Assurance and Marketing; Animal Health and Production; Fisheries Science and Technology; Fisheries Management and Technology;  Agriculture Production; General Agriculture; Human Nutrition; Environmental Science   OR Holders of Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with one Principle pass in Science Subjects and Subsidiary Pass;  AND Possession of Technician Certificate (NTA Level 5) in Environment and Coastal Resources Management.
