The programme is a double degree developed in partnership with Satakunta University of Applied Sciences in Finland. It aims at equipping students who intend to embark upon a career in the maritime industry as Marine Engineer Officers on commercial vessels by providing practiced-oriented training in the field of Marine Engineering. Overall, the programme equips students with comprehensive and systematic knowledge and skills required to operate in international shipping traffic, safely manage, facilitate, and undertake operation and maintenance linked to shipboard Marine Engineering systems.

Prerequisites

Applicants must have scored 30 points on the NUST Admission Scale, with a minimum 3 symbol in Mathematics and Physical Science at Grade 12/NSSC Higher Level or with a minimum A-symbol in Mathematics, Physical Science and English at Grade 12/NSSC Ordinary Level.
